There are Optima Express terminals in both departure and arrival stations on the OTE route, where you can find the following:
Vehicle dimension controls, parking lot, check-in office, loading platform and sanitary facilities.
After arriving at the terminal, the loading dimensions of your car will be checked first and your loading pass (boarding card) will be handed over to you. After being shown the parking lot, you need to go to the OTE office at the check in. Your travel documents, vehicle's papers and the passports will be controlled here. Please note that the these controls and processing may take some time. Due to this reason, we ask our passengers to arrive 2 to 3 hours earlier to the departure station*..
The complete processing of the passengers and vehicles will be carried out by OTE personnel. Our staff at the terminal is there to help you with all of your questions and problems.
All OTE trains are accompanied by train personnel. The train personnel cares for your well-being and takes care of the customs and passport formalities for you.
Drinks and small snacks are available in the public room of the waggons where you may consume anything you have brought on board.
If you would like to dine in your compartment, you can use the compartment talbe which will be assemble by your train attendant.
The loading platform is generally opened 5 hours before the journey begin. Thus begins the arranging of the vehicles for loading in the train. The loading and fastening of the vehicles ends 80 minutes before the journey begin.
After loading your vehicle, you may join the passengers in the passenger coaches. A train attendant waits before every waggon, who is there to help you find your compartment.
After 10 pm begins the nighttime peace and the couchettes are clapped open. There are two bed sheets for every passenger in the comparments as well as a blanket, a pillow, and a pillow slip, all packed neatly.
After arriving at your final destination, all vehicles are unlatched and driven out of the car transporter by the customer (driver). After unloading, the passport and customs controls take place. Afterwards, you are free to continue your journey relaxed and well recovered.
Even if you have already departed from the final station, you can still contact the OTE staff if need be. You can for example change your booking or change the number of the passengers, or simply gather information.
